Are you thinking to yourself, "Really? For 60 days? That seems like a lot of work... will it really make a difference?" Trust me, I was right where you are.
Initially, I had no clue what I was doing. My content was dull, uninspiring, and failed to connect with anyone. However, I made a decision to persevere. Not only did this effort result in a staggering 385% increase in my platform's growth, but it also brought about a host of other benefits.
While growth is undoubtedly a fantastic outcome, there are numerous other positive impacts I observed when I started consistently posting on LinkedIn.
Here are my biggest takeaways and why I wholeheartedly recommend this approach to every small business owner.
Genuine Connections:
The value of authentic interactions cannot be overstated. During my 60-day content posting journey, I was amazed by the depth of connections I formed. Each post provided an opportunity for genuine engagement, resonating with like-minded individuals and fostering relationships.
Partnerships:
I established collaborations, formed referral partnerships, and even forged strategic business partnerships with like-minded businesses in related roles, such as SEO, online advertising, print, and signage. Additionally, I received invitations to participate in podcasts, interviews, and co-branded initiatives.
These partnerships were not just about expanding my network but also about synergizing our efforts. It opened doors to joint ventures and shared resources.
Referral partners: Like-minded businesses in similar roles (for me, things like SEO, online advertising, print, and signage companies).
Strategic business partners: working towards getting new clients together.
Educational: podcasts, interviews, and co-branded efforts.
Event Opportunities:
As my consistent posting on LinkedIn gained momentum, people across various industries began to take notice of my activities and the topics I covered. This recognition resulted in a slew of invitations to participate in both in-person and virtual events. These opportunities not only elevated my visibility but also allowed me to share my expertise and connect with a broader audience.
Audience Growth:
By diligently analyzing the performance of my content, I gained insights into what resonated most with my audience. With this knowledge, I could strategically double-down on creating similar content that consistently piqued the interest of my followers, such as this blog post, which has been repurposed from a LinkedIn post that performed well. Consistently creating and posting content also led to favourable treatment by the algorithm, ultimately getting more eyes on my content.
Conclusion:
Posting consistently on platforms like LinkedIn isn't just a means of generating leads, although that's undoubtedly a significant benefit. It's about creating a thriving ecosystem of opportunities. Whether it's forming meaningful partnerships, having an opportunity to be a part of networking events, or nurturing an engaged audience, the rewards of this commitment go beyond mere statistics.
So, if you're still on the fence, I encourage you to embark on your own journey of consistent posting; the opportunities that await may surprise you.
